The initial version of ISL Online (short for “Internet Services Layer”) was developed in 2001, at a time when the remote desktop market was still in its infancy. In 2005, we introduced ISL Online Cloud, setting up our initial 3-4 servers and becoming the first vendor to automatically route sessions through the best available server.

Today, connecting to a remote computer from anywhere in the world with a single click feels effortless, but when we first showcased this technology in 2005 at CeBIT, then the world's largest IT fair, it created a real “wow” moment. What started as a small network of four servers has grown into a global infrastructure of more than 100 servers, hosting millions of remote desktop sessions every year and maintaining a 99.98% uptime.
