ISL Online Launches ISL AlwaysOn 2.0 and Adds File Sharing to the Remote Access Software

ISL Online, the global online collaboration software provider, has released a new version of enterprise remote access software, ISL AlwaysOn 2.0, which introduces unlimited file sharing and extends some other capabilities of the software. image The new ISL AlwaysOn 2.0 allows users to share files with anyone and easily access the selected files faster than ever. There is no need to connect to the remote computer to access remote files. A user simply logs in to their ISL Online web account at www.islonline.com from anywhere. There, the user can see the list of remote computers and download shared files. Each shared folder has a unique URL link which can be emailed to a remote user. This way, files, too big to be sent via email, can be shared between users online. Furthermore, if given the 'full control' permission by an account owner, guest users can update files or even upload new files to the shared folder. A service similar to Dropbox but with an important difference - there is no shared quota. The account storage space is only limited by the size of the local computer's hard disk.

Besides being able to access remote files on the fly the ISL AlwaysOn 2.0 also allows you to execute some other actions from a web account:

  • Wake on LAN (WOL) a remote computer
  • Change the access password to one or all remote computers
  • Shut down the remote computer
  • Retrieve remote system information

The ISL AlwaysOn 2.0 remote access software includes the desktop application which simplifies the start of a remote session and lets user:

  • See the list of all remote computers and connect in seconds
  • Manage computer status, remote users and file sharing (local files)
  • Check the access history
