ISL Online donates to Mountain Rescue

Swindon, UK, 06.09.2010. ISL Online has donated a software license to Mountain Rescue England and Wales. The organisation that saves peoples' lives has decided to support their teams all over UK with ISL Online software solutions for remote support and collaboration.

Time is crucial when it comes to saving peoples' lives. Teams are gathered into eight regional organisations according to their geographical area of operation. The mountain and cave rescue service in England and Wales is provided by around 3500 volunteers. Their IT operators now use ISL Light, a simple and secure remote desktop sharing tool, to support their colleagues around UK. They can now connect to a remote computer in 30 seconds and gain control of remote desktop. In this way they fix possible computer problems or train their colleagues.

"As communication officer I am a volunteer and have to fit this all in around my regular work and of course my family. ISL Online tools help me in supporting others quickly and reliably and have become an indispensable asset," comments Mark Lewis, Communications Officer.

ISL Light is only one of four online communication tools included in ISL Online product suite. Mountain Rescue national team fights the distances and cut the costs also by using ISL Groop, a solution designed for online meetings of numerous participants. In addition to audio and video conference features ISL Groop allows desktop sharing and remote PC control. You can register for a free trial at www.islonline.com.

In the past ISL Online has supported other non-profit organisations working towards a better world by donating a software licence. Such organisations are SOS-Kinderdorf International - Germany (helping and supporting vulnerable children and their families), BullyingCanada - Canada (fighting against bullying and victimization), Women Are Dreamers Too - USA (helping victims of domestic violence).
