XLAB has donated its ISL Online Server License in order to help WaDt to remotely deliver technical assistance to their candidates anywhere in the world. Free for WaDt technical operators, this Server License's stand-alone system provides a pack of tools not only for on-demand remote desktop support, but also for online meetings, instant live chats and easy remote PC access. Using this prime tool, ISL Light enables the WaDt operators to securely view the other side's desktop, gain control of their keyboard and mouse, transfer files, use the whiteboard, and even communicate via an integrated text chat.
"ISL Light will benefit all our candidates, current and future, since for the first time we are able to address connectivity issues, security, timely deployment of a myriad of business applications we have in our computer labs, servers and all other that are not readily available to our candidates instantaneously and effortlessly", Cindy Williams, Ph.D., WaDt Executive Director.
"Prior to ISL Light we were using VNC, which we had installed on our server in order to help our candidates remotely. We had since outgrown VNC since it had limitations and did not go far enough, but with ISL Light remote connections, timely delivery and deployment were very effortless", Ms Williams explains further. "Our candidates have since been enjoying not having to haul their computers into the lab, our technical support guys made of volunteers throughout the Americas and Sweden have been helping us to troubleshoot computer problems remotely since ISL Light, which has made technical support save them money as they are now proffering from volunteer technical support, thanks to ISL Light. The security is what sets this product apart; new codes are issued to the candidates for each session, an added layer of security which we did not have with other products.
